Your child will:

Work with music / brass specialists to discover hidden talents (in the case of those with little/no prior experience) or improve musical/instrumental technique.

Create an original performance.

Explore new ways of thinking, working, and problem-solving.

Improve coordination and musical ability.

Make friends and find a sense of belonging in a new youth brass network.

Have access to free rehearsal space and equipment.

Take part in activities which compliment national curriculum and graded music examination syllabuses.

By taking part in the band have the opportunity to gain an accredited qualification form Trinity College London.

Have the opportunity to progress to our three partner bands: St Johns Brass Band (Mossley), St Paul’s Brass Group (Stalybridge) or Carnival Club at The Vale.

Our experienced team of musicians and workshop leaders are excited to offer your child this fantastic new opportunity; Our tutors will deliver weekly training in trumpet, trombone, performance and fun and child-centered music theory. The sessions include individual and group tuition coupled with full-ensemble rehearsals leading to public performances around the local area.


The band will meet for rehearsals at the Vale, Mossley on Thursdays during term-time and on Wednesdays in Lees, Oldham during term-time.
